Close up magic is my specialty.  I do table hopping (restaurants), strolling magic (dinner parties, weddings, corporate, etc), and platform magic (seated audiences)

About Me

Dwight Redman, Sr

I never planned to be a magician. I became involved in magic because my 7 year old son, Eric, wanted a magic kit for Christmas. That led to  him being selected to come to Las Vegas to be on a TV special called  "The Lance Burton Young Magicians Showcase." Soon after that, Eric found 2 magic clubs in Washington DC.  The International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM) Ring 50 and The Society of American Magicians (SAM) Assembly 23.

After following behind Eric for 10 years, he challenged me to learn a trick.  I was bitten by the magic bug and I began learning as much magic as I could. I still ran my Nationwide Insurance Agency fulltime, but I began performing on weekends.  I retired from the insurance business and now I perform as mush as I can.

I've won the IBM Ring 50's Dan Lacey trophy for DC's Best Magician twice. I am a Past President for both The IBM Ring 50 and The SAM 23. I am a member of the prestigious, invitation only FFFF Close Up Magic Convention. I am currently the IBM Territorial Vice President for the DC area and I am serving on the IBM Executive Board.
